IBEAC is a finalist in the Banco do Brasil Foundation’s LABTS Call for Proposals with the Mães Mobilizadoras initiative

IBEAC was selected as a finalist in the Banco do Brasil Foundation’s Social Technology Laboratory (LABTS) Call for Proposals, in the “Violence in the Peripheries” category, with the Mães Mobilizadoras initiative! 💜

LABTS is an initiative by the Banco do Brasil Foundation aimed at identifying, developing, and disseminating innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges that impact millions of people in vulnerable contexts. In this first edition, the call for proposals seeks initiatives that promote food security, tackle climate change, generate income, improve education and health, and prevent violence in the peripheries—challenges that require collective, sustainable, and transformative responses.

In the category “Violence in the Peripheries,” the call for proposals proposes to reflect and act on the question:

How can we address violence in the peripheries with a focus on gender issues, preventing femicide and ensuring the protection and empowerment of women in socially vulnerable contexts?

This is precisely where the work of the Mobilizing Mothers stands out. 🌿
Recognized as community leaders and references in care, the Mobilizing Mothers work with women, pregnant women, babies, and young children, inspiring real change in their territories. Their actions are organized into five dimensions:

💪 Women’s Empowerment – sharing information about rights and care.
👶 Excellence in Child Care – encouraging reading, play, and child development.
📣 Educommunication – activities and campaigns about children’s rights.
⚖️ Social Equity – promoting dialogue about diversity, inclusion, and a culture of peace.
🌸 Well-Being – practices for (self)care of the body, mind, and environment.

Being a finalist in this call for proposals is recognition of a journey built with affection, knowledge, and collective action. 💜
We continue to mobilize dreams, empower women, and cultivate futures where care is power and the future is collective. ✨
