On November 9th, IBEAC representatives took part in a meeting at the invitation of the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in São Paulo, Martina Hackelberg. The event was highlighted by the presence of State Minister Claudia Roth, Director of the German Government for Culture and Media.
In her speech, the Minister emphasized the connections between Culture, Human Rights and Climate Justice, highlighting the importance of government support for cultural projects committed to tackling the environmental crisis. She also shared details of her agenda in Brazil, linked to the global G20 discussions. Claudia Roth also spoke directly with the cultural workers present, learning about their actions and projects.
IBEAC was represented by its coordinator, Bel Santos Mayer, and communications coordinator, Gabriel Razo.
We would like to thank the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany for the opportunity to exchange and dialog with such an inspiring and necessary leader.
