Caminhos da Leitura Hosts “Sarau do Terror 2025”

In a year when the world is discussing climate change at COP30 and at the same time IBEAC and Cooperapas join forces to plant 10,639 trees, the Caminhos da Leitura Community Library celebrated the 14th edition of Sarau do Terror with an urgent and necessary theme: “The Cry of the Forest”, an invitation to listen to the Earth and raise awareness in humanity. 🌍💚

During the conversation circle, it was the children who set the tone of wisdom: reminding us that the air we breathe exists because nature allows it. In the sensory activity with images and sounds, we were reminded that the forest also speaks — in the breeze, the birdsong, and the flowing water. 😋

In dance, we recognized our bodies’ movements as part of this existence, understanding that nature also lives through our gestures. In the image and illustration workshops, we reinforced the importance of observing small details and realizing that changing the world starts with the way we see it.

To celebrate together, a green soup was shared, honoring life and reflecting on our collective commitment.

“The Cry of the Forest” resonated strongly — and we continue together to care for, listen to, and protect what sustains us. 🌱🧡
