On October 20, we held another beautiful collective planting action as part of the Against Racism, I Plant campaign in Parelheiros, strengthening care for the territory and the fight for socio-environmental justice. The activity brought together volunteers to plant native trees of the Atlantic Forest, reaffirming that every seedling placed in the soil is also a gesture of resistance, care, and commitment to a more just and anti-racist future.
Planting goes beyond an environmental activity: it is a collective gathering that connects people, stories, and knowledge, creating roots that confront racism and regenerate the territory.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire Parelheiros team, volunteers, friends, and partners who got their hands in the soil with us and made this day so special. 🌿
Special thanks to:
🎤 Giuliano Tierno, for the inspiring storytelling that enriched the gathering;
🧒 CJ Vargem Grande and CCA São Norberto, with the participation of children and adolescents who played a fundamental role in the planting;
🍰 Dona Vânia, who welcomed everyone with delicious homemade cakes;
🤝 Nara da Silva, volunteer from CPCD;
📐 Base Urbana, an architecture collective that develops projects through the shared experience of occupying spaces and building together, and that is supporting the architectural projects we dream of for the territory;
🌾 Instituto Teko Porã, for the partnership, presence, and collective strength.
Together, we continue to regenerate the Atlantic Forest and cultivate a future rooted in justice, solidarity, and anti-racism. 🍃
